This Privacy Policy describes how CoLoci (also known as Codex Localis, "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the CoLoci application and this website (coloci.app).
The short version: the CoLoci app collects nothing. It runs entirely on your machine. Your PDFs, campaign notes, and generated content never leave your computer. The only personal information we hold is what LemonSqueezy provides when you purchase a license.
The CoLoci Application
CoLoci is a local-first application. All processing — PDF indexing, embeddings, and AI generation — runs on your own hardware via Ollama. No data from the app is transmitted to any remote server, including our own.

- Your PDFs are indexed and stored locally on your machine only
- Your prompts and generated content are processed locally and never transmitted
- No account or login is required to use the app
This Website
This website may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics collects anonymised data including pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), device type, and referral source. This data is processed by Google under their own privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is collected through Google Analytics.
If you wish to opt out of Google Analytics tracking, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
License Purchases
License purchases are processed by LemonSqueezy, who act as the Merchant of Record. When you purchase a CoLoci license, LemonSqueezy provides us with your email address so we can deliver your license key and provide support.
- Your email address is used solely for license key delivery and support
- Payment details (card numbers, billing address) are handled entirely by LemonSqueezy and are never shared with us
- We do not share your email address with third parties
- We do not use your email address for marketing without your explicit consent
LemonSqueezy's privacy practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy.
Data Retention
Purchase records (email address and license key) are retained for as long as necessary to support your license. If you would like your data removed, contact us at contact@codexlocalis.com and we will action your request within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain records.
Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to request corrections if it is inaccurate. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@codexlocalis.com.
