Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the CoLoci application and website (coloci.app), operated by CoLoci ("we", "us", or "our"), Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

By downloading or using CoLoci, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the software.

The Free Tier

CoLoci is available to download and use for free. The free tier includes access to all features of the application for your first 50 generations. No account, payment, or personal information is required to use the free tier.

Lifetime License

A lifetime license grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use CoLoci on your own devices with no generation limit. The license is for individual use only and may not be shared, resold, or sublicensed.

Refunds

We offer a 14-day refund policy on lifetime license purchases. If CoLoci does not work as described on your hardware, or you are unsatisfied for any reason within 14 days of purchase, contact us at contact@codexlocalis.com and we will process a full refund. Refund requests after 14 days will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

What CoLoci Does

CoLoci is a tool for generating tabletop RPG content — NPCs, encounters, items, and other material — using AI models running locally on your machine via Ollama. Content is generated from your indexed sourcebooks and is designed to be rules-grounded, but AI output can be imperfect. Generated content should be reviewed before use at the table. The quality of output depends on the AI model you choose and the sourcebooks you index.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the PDFs you index and the content you generate using CoLoci. Because CoLoci is local-first, your content never leaves your machine and we have no access to it.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any PDFs you index with CoLoci.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Availability and Updates

We aim to maintain and improve CoLoci over time, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that any particular feature will be available in any future version. Updates are provided at my discretion.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of CoLoci. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms will not exceed the amount you paid for your license.

Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee, warranty, or right that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of CoLoci after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top of this page reflects when the terms were last revised.
